The Écoute AI app for Zoom transcribes the meetings you record to the Zoom cloud. Each recording arrives in your Écoute library already transcribed, with the people on the call named, plus a summary and action items. Écoute never joins your meetings.
What you need
A Zoom plan with cloud recording (Zoom's paid plans). On a free Zoom plan, record to your computer and upload the file to Écoute instead.
An Écoute account. Sign in at ecouteai.com with Google.
Hours on your Écoute account ($5 per hour of audio) and the Zoom add-on, both in Settings.
Adding the app
Go to ecouteai.com/connect/zoom, or in Écoute open Settings and click Connect Zoom. Sign in to Écoute first if asked.
Zoom shows what Écoute will be able to see: your Zoom user profile, your cloud recordings, and the participant list of meetings you recorded. Click Allow.
You land back in Écoute Settings, which now says Connected as your Zoom email.
Using it
Start a Zoom meeting and click Record, then Record to the cloud.
When the meeting ends, Zoom processes the recording. As soon as Zoom finishes, it notifies Écoute.
Écoute fetches the recording, transcribes it, and names each speaker using the meeting's participant list. The call appears in your Écoute library, usually within a minute or two of Zoom finishing.
Open the call to read it, click any word to hear it, fix names or text, and export or share it.
Turn automatic transcription on or off any time with Transcribe new recordings automatically in Écoute Settings. Only recordings you made are imported.
Removing the app
In Écoute, open Settings and click Disconnect next to Zoom. Or, in Zoom, go to the Zoom App Marketplace, open Manage, then Added Apps, find Écoute AI and click Remove.
Either way, Écoute deletes its stored Zoom access token and stops importing recordings.
Calls already imported stay in your Écoute library until you delete them. To delete one, open it and click Delete. To delete your whole account and everything in it, email support@ecouteai.com.
